Early Life & Parents
Born on 25 June 1987, Bonang Matheba is a South African nationality. Her parents are Charlotte Mokoena, Corporate Head of Human Resource, and Andrew Gampi Matheba, a lecturer. A few years after Bonang's birth in Mahikeng, the whole family moved to Joburg.
Sadly, her parents got divorced when Bonang was young. But, according to the South African star, they co-parented her pretty well after the separation.
Post the divorce, her mother got married again and gave Bonang a half-brother named Thabo Mokoena.
Growing up in a blended yet nurturing family, she developed an effervescent personality, suitable for a TV personality from a very young age. Acknowledging her skills, she dropped out of UJ, Kingsway Campus while studying BA Marketing Communications to pursue a career in presenting.

Being a talented child, Bonang started presenting a show called Manhattan's Fantasy Challenge when she was age 15. She then went on presenting shows called Reggies Rush and Illovo Sweet Surprise. All her works, including the reality show Being Bonang, has aired through SABC 1 and 2.

Bonang, who stands at the height of five feet (1.53 m), is not only limited to TV. She also released her autobiographical book called A to B in 2007.
Sadly, the book obtained a lot of negative comments reprimanding the book due to reported factual and grammatical errors. The negativity led to the book being removed from the stores. However, a second edition was published with most of the previous mistakes corrected.
Fast forward to 2017, Bonang hosted one of the most publicized music shows LIVE. Hosting the show made her career skyrocket towards the stars.

Personal Life
Rumors of Bonang being engaged has spread among the BForce (her fanbase) like wildfire. In early 2019, when a fan saw a ring on Bonang’s finger in a video from her Instagram, they asked if the ring is an accessory or an engagement ring.
Adding fuel to the flame, Bonang was asked about the ring in a radio interview dated March 2019 on Metro FM’s Fresh Breakfast show. She gave a cryptic answer to the question,
”I’m very much taken.”
However, the search for Queen B’s boyfriend began in late 2018, when she was on a trip in Albania. A Twitter user suggested Bonang find an Arab man to which she replied saying she already has one.
By April 2019, Bonang made headlines which stated her mystery man was found. It was speculated that she was dating a 27-year-old Albanian businessman and former football player Fatmir Hysenbelliu.
Bonang reportedly posted a couple of Instagram stories revealing her boyfriend but deleted them later.
