CBS News Reporter, Morley Safer, Married to Jane Fearer, Loves His Wife As Much As He Loved Her 48 Years Ago
CBS News reporter Morley Safer married anthropologist Jane Fearer forty-eight years ago, and they are still together. If you may, their love story is romantic and truly inspiring. The bond that they are sharing is something that we have always craved to have in our lives. After all, who wouldn’t want to have a long relationship with the person they love?
Eighty-four-year-old Morley Safer is not only famous for his outstanding works but is also known for his never-ending marital relation with his wife. Many people find his love story interesting, and so do I.
He first met Jane on a blind date set up by their mutual friend Av Westin in 1968. He proposed Jane for marriage via a phone call after dating her for three and half months. At that time, he was in Nigeria covering the civil war. He had just survived an ambush before he telephoned Jane.
His crew member/friend Priya Ramrakha was killed in the ambush led by Biafran soldiers. Later, he narrated the experience to People Magazine, telling:
"A sense of my mortality was involved."

Morley Safer's Married Life, Wife, and His Love:
The love between the former 60 minutes correspondent and his wife Jane Fearer seems very young even after spending forty-eight years of their lives together. Moreover, they have a daughter named Sarah Alice Anne Safer, who is forty-six years old. She graduated from Brown University and Columbia University.
Alice Anne Safer is a freelance journalist, and she must work very hard to be as celebrated as her father, who has spent more than five decades on CBS news, covering wars to arts, investments to frauds, race relations to fashion, and numerous other important issues from different parts of the world.
Alice was married to Alexander Bakar, an American investor, in the year 2000. Safer now lives in Manhattan with his wife.
