Comedian Joe Lycett, Being Bisexual Has More Challenges Than Being Gay: Upcoming Tours, Girlfriend?

It is true that people who are different than a majority of a group often have to face some unique troubles and issues. Just like that, comedian Joe Lycett says that being a bisexual has more challenges than being gay.

Being a Bisexual Tougher than Being Gay?

This rising comedian chatted with Attitude Magazine (in 2015) talking about the problems he went through because of his sexuality. He said:

“I don’t know if it’s easier [than being gay]. Being bisexual presents its own challenges. There isn’t a solid identity in being bisexual,” he further said,

“You can’t just say to someone’s auntie, ‘Oh he’s bisexual.' People don’t have those references, so there’s no box to put you in. So they don’t know what it means, and they get scared.

They think you’re into weird stuff, or you’re a ***** and up to all sorts but it just means you fancy people of all genders, nothing more nothing less.”

He was also asked about the qualities he looks for in a partner; to which he said,

“I’ve tried Tinder. I’m not a very sexual kind of person. I’m emotional. Yes, sometimes we all want to go out and f!@# someone, but most of the time we want a little cuddle with someone. A snack den. Someone to lie there with eating chocolate. That’s the dream.”

Punches Over Everything:

Despite the problems created by his sexuality, he still tries to express his thoughts about his sexuality in a funny way stating it as something that helped him get out some extra laughs. He also thinks that sexuality is a fascinating aspect of human life . He says he will be talking more and more about this.

Nevertheless, he will be try to bring positive vibes about his bisexuality to his audiences through his stand-up comedy acts.  He says,

“It’s something I will talk about more in my stand-up act, as sexuality is a fascinating aspect of human life.”
