Lee Daniels, the creator of Star, while making his appearance on The Real mentioned that the lead cast is white, as he stated,

“Our lead girl is white."

He also further disclosed the reason behind casting a white lead in a show starred mostly by African-American actors.

“This white girl is so fabulous that black people will embrace her and white people will embrace her.”

 Though some sources claim, Jude Demorest is half white and half black, but in actuality, the race of the white girl from Star is still a mystery as she has not come up publically or shared any details of her ethnicity.

Jude's Star Davis grew up in the foster care system in the series, but what about her real-life parents?

Already Married, Expecting Her First Kid

Talking about the relationship status of Jude Demorest, she is already out of the market. It’s not that she is dating someone, but she is married.

Yes, she wedded record producer Joshua Coleman, who has worked with famous artists including Beyonce, Marron 5 and Selena Gomez. The pair hasn’t revealed the wedding date, but as per a now-deleted post on Jude's Instagram, they tied the knot in June 2016.

Jude's husband later took to Instagram in April 2016 and quoted it as "Finally."

Their post marriage ceremony must have been full on; a class filled as the two seemed way more comfortable in Tracksuits. Jude posted her after marriage photo which was captioned,

Before marriage, Jude had previously shared several pictures of her now-husband. From which conclusion is drawn by fans that Joshua is her boyfriend turned husband.

Jude celebrated 2018's Valentine's Day with her husband, which Joshua later took to Instagram. Jude's husband expressed his love for his wife, quoting, "I love you more than most!!!!." 

Likewise, the actress uploaded an Instagram image sharing a throwback image of the time, when they were dating each other. Further, news surfaced that Jude and her husband were about to welcome their first child as partners. After her character of the series Star, Star Davis became pregnant on the show; it was revealed that Jude was pregnant in real life too.

On 5 September 2018, Jude shared a picture on her Instagram along with her husband Joshua in which the actress could be seen flaunting her baby bump.

Later, she posted another post quoting "Dropping November," which she could be implying her due date. So, don't be alarmed if Jude goes absent from her show for a few weeks or even months.

After nine months of waiting, the bundle of joy has finally arrived. Jude and have been blessed with a baby boy in their small and happy and family. Born on 11 November 2018, the couple has named the new addition to their family Judah after the fourth of the twelve sons of Jacob by Leah, in the Old Testament. The name in Hebrew means "praise."
