During his early years, he also worked at a car dealership and made a living from it. However, he took the risk of leaving his small-town man status to become a nationally recognized sports broadcaster.

He eventually got a job at WGHT Radio located in New York. His tenure at the station gave his career a power boost as he finally got appointed as the reporter covering pre and post-game for Fox Sports in 2014.
