One Up for Love! Actor Jason Ritter is now Engaged to his Longtime Girlfriend Melanie Lynskey

The “Parenthood” actor Jason Ritter is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Melanie Lynskey after four years of dating.

Though this couple is very popular for keeping their relationship low-key, the Togetherness actress Melanie,39, revealed the news about their engagement. 

While making an appearance on Hollywood Today Live on Thursday, the conversation turned to Lynskey long time boyfriend Jason where she gushed-

“Yes, Now he's my fiancé. I'm announcing it!”

She further said that he proposed her on the sofa which was very cute. The New Zealand-born actress, Lynskey said that she wasn’t prepared for the proposal. 

She even stated that she prefers to keep her relationship casual and likes calling Jason her boyfriend of the social media.

Jason and Melanie, who previously portrayed the character of an engaged couple in their 2016 drama, “The Intervention” will now enjoy living together as an engaged couple in their real life.

Melanie was previously married in 2007 to Westworld actor Jimmi Simpson. Her relationship with him couldn’t last long as she filed for divorce on September 2012 citing "irreconcilable differences." She has no any children from her previous relationship.

This couple recently took social media to express their love on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. The ex-wife of Jimmi Simpson, Melanie shared a cute GIF on Twitter where two pink dinosaurs were seen kissing.

Likewise, Jason shared a photo of heart on the love-centric holiday where he captioned “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

According to Melanie, she first met Jason while filming a movie together. Since then, the couple has been dating each other for four years.  

Thirty-six-year-old Jason and Melanie together has appeared in three films; We’ll Never Have Paris (2014), The Big Ask (2013) and in The Intervention (2016).
