Adam West-Batman Of The 60s And Family Guy Star Dies At 88! Stars Pay Their Tribute

The wholehearted actor Adam West, who gained fame wearing the iconic cowl of the Caped Crusader on the classic 1960s series Batman dies at the age of eighty-eight.

A family spokesperson confirmed the death of Adam West, who was battling with leukemia. According to The Hollywood Reporter-

“West died peacefully surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.”

Similarly, according to the family,


“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans' lives. He was and always will be our hero.”

Adam West was previously married to Billie Lou Yeager in the year 1950. His relationship with Billie lasted for six years before they got divorced in 1956. A year after separating with the first wife, Adam married Ngahra Frisbie in 1957.  Adam got divorced with Ngahra in 1962 after being bound in marital relation for five years. Adam and Ngahra had two children.

Adam married Marcelle Tagand Lear in the year 1970. They first met when Marcelle posed for a publicity photo at Santa Monica Airport with Adam in his Batman costume. During that time, Marcelle was still married to Lear Jet founder. Adam and Marcelle together had four children.

When the news of Adam’s death has hit the internet, it has walloped the Hollywood. Many stars have given their tribute to the iconic star.

American actor William West Anderson, who is popular as Adam West was active in the industry since 1954. He first gained popularity for the portrayal of Batman in the 1960s ABC series Batman and its theatrical feature film.

He is also known for appearing in the science fiction film Robinson Crusoe on Mars (1964), The Outlaws Is Coming (1965) and Geronimo (1962). Likewise, Adam is famous for providing his voice in Family Guy (2000-2017), The Simpsons (2002), and The Fairly OddParents (2003-2008).
