Ryan Lochte, second most decorated male Olympic swimmer of all times, has revealed that he and his model girlfriend, Kayla Rae Reid are expecting their first child together. 2016 has indeed been a remarkable year for Ryan Lochte. First of all success of Rio Olympics and now he is going to be a father.
He shared the news in an underwater Instagram picture as he kissed his pregnant wife, the same water which has made him renowned all over the globe.
"My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year!" the 32-year-old swimmer captioned the photo. "Best news I've ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017."
His leading lady also added to Lochte's excitement and shared her version of the snapshot:
"Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you! #weareprego #omg #2017,"
The couple went public with their tie up over the summer when Reid visited Lochte during Rio Olympics. Things were on and off for the pair.
Lochte later revealed that he relied on Reid’s support during his controversial headline-making Rio scandal as well as Dancing with the Stars run, and also announced that they’d moved in together in September.
Moreover, Lochte got engaged to Reid in October of 2016 as well as discussed their wedding plans. Lochte revealed the news in late October and said:
"I think we decided August [or] September, I'm thinking we're going to have it around the West Coast."
It was Lochte who popped up the question during a private helicopter tour of Los Angeles, and Reid said yes to one stunning diamond sparkler. A reporter for Ryan Lochte on their statement to etonline.com said;
"On Sunday, Lochte surprised his bride to be with a private helicopter tour of Los Angeles which culminated with a sunset proposal on a Malibu, California mountaintop overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Lochte proposed with a custom designed platinum ring featuring a Radiant cut diamond. The couple has yet to set a wedding date."
The parents-to-be first met in January of 2016 as they met at a Los Angeles nightclub, and since then both have been inseparable.
