The British fitness instructor Chloe Madeley recently confirmed that she is engaged to her long-time boyfriend James Haskell, the England and Wasps rugby star on 8 April 2018. Moments after the proposal; the infectiously happy couple were spotted walking arm-in-arm through the streets of Paris.
The couple, who have been dating for three-and-a-half years now, finally confirmed the rumors of their engagement that they had been dodging. The duo confirmed the news with Hello! Magazine in an exclusive interview.
In the interview, Chloe, who is known for her nutrition advice website FitnessFondue.com, reminisced the day her boyfriend got down on one knee for her. The duo was on a three day holiday to Paris when James popped the question.
According to Chloe, during that time, they two were talking a walk in the sunshine when James suddenly stopped on the way. James took Chloe in his arms and kissed her on the forehead. Chloe divulged the moments with magazine stating,
‘He kissed me on the forehead and said, “You do know how much I love you, don’t you? The last three and a half years have been the best years of my life.'
She added expressing how she had no idea of the upcoming proposal for marriage from her boyfriend.
‘I just thought he was being romantic because we were in Paris, so I replied: “Oh babe, that’s so sweet.”’
However, the phrases right after that came as a shock to her as James talked about marrying her. She expressed her feelings stating,
"But then he added, 'And you do know I want to marry you,'
Right after that, James got down on one knee, while asking Chole to marry him. As for Chloe, she thought James was joking until she saw the ring. Talking with the magazine, she added,
"At first I thought he was joking. I was speechless and stared at him in disbelief. My first thought was, 'Oh my God, he has a ring!'"
Chloe, who has been seeing James since 2014, was presented with the engagement ring in which James flexed his design skills. James had a hand in crafting it which he calls ‘labour of love.’ He explained how he wanted the ring for his fiancé to be perfect, stating:
"That ring was a labour of love for me. I designed it for Chloe myself because I wanted it to be perfect and for her to love it,"
As of Chloe, she described the whole proposal and ring to be "ecstatic."
Moreover, James divulged his excitement with the magazine stating,
"Planning the rest of my life with Chloe is exciting and I couldn’t be happier,"
However, while their engagement rumors were flying around the media, a week before they confirmed the news, Chloe had shared a sweet snap with her beau embracing each other's company in front of the Effiel Tower.
