David O'Mahony, 35, Engaged To Girlfriend Ali Bastian, 36! Wedding Bells To Ring Soon?

Former soap actress Ali Bastian is now engaged to her stage actor boyfriend, David O'Mahony after dating for 18 months. The couple revealed their engagement news to OK! Magazine on 23 April, affirming that they are now engaged.

David initially planned on getting engaged during a romantic break in Bali but couldn’t wait that long and decided to pop the question after he returned from a musical.

Speaking to 'OK Magazine,'  David revealed that he was 99.9 percent sure about being accepted for his proposal but had a scary but exciting feeling. He even briefed the feeling after the engagement proposal, saying:

I felt this huge amount of relief that I didn’t have to keep the secret any more!'

Meanwhile, David's girlfriend Ali also gushed about her engagement:

“Even though we’d discussed marriage, it took me completely by surprise. I still think, has this really happened?’”

Furthermore, she affirmed that she and her fiance are going to make it down the aisle very soon. The newly engaged couple are planning to get married in London followed by a cocktail party and a blessing in Bali. They are even planning for three days wedding celebration to make it memorable.

David and Ali's engagement came after Ali joined her former Hollyoaks co-stars, Jodi Albert and Sarah Jayne Dunn for the latter's hen do in Leicester. Even though they haven't disclosed the date of their marriage, it's likely that they will soon manipulate themselves in a husband-wife relationship.

David, who had a crush on Ali Bastian when he was at the age of 19, started blossoming romance with her from the end of 2016. Since his teenage, he had a poster of Ali on the wall of his university

Before her relationship with David, Ali, who is best known for playing teacher Becca Dean in Hollyoaks, stayed in a romantic relationship with Tom Clay. The couple even escalated their relationship by getting engaged in 2013. But, they could not lead their love life to a marital one.

Before Tom, Ali encountered another stumbling relationship with Hollyoaks co-star and on-screen husband, Kevin Dacre, who she parted ways with after a two years relationship in 2006.
