Claire Holt and her beau Matt Kaplan separated their ways a day before their first marriage anniversary. E! News confirmed the split of the pair and said that Matt filed for divorce from Holt on April 27 citing irreconcilable differences.
A week later, on May 2, The Vampire Diaries' star Claire filed a response to the divorce which also cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the separation. She even appealed to take back her maiden name. According to Matt, the separation took place on April 24, but according to Claire, it took place on April 27.
Claire and Matt were married for just eleven months. They tied the knot on 28 April last year and proudly showed off their wedding day moments through Instagram.
In July 2015, Claire announced the news about the engagement with Matt through her Instagram by sharing a picture of the duo with a caption “Yes.” In the image, Claire was seen holding her beau and sparking an engagement ring on her ring finger.
