Simon Cowell, one of the judges of AGT decided to give Eve a spot in the next season if she wished to withdraw from the competition amid the family tragedy. However, she was determined to finish what she started because it was one of the lessons she got from her beloved father. She said,

"My dad was one of the bravest people I knew. He always taught us to follow our dreams."

She continued,

“My dad taught me after I start something to always finish it. That’s why I’m fighting to the end, just like he did.”

After finishing off her emotional performance, she said in an interview with a wiki site,

“My dad always told me to never give up. He said, ‘Don’t be a quitter.’ He said, ‘I didn’t raise quitter kids.’ I was debating whether or not to come back. I didn’t want to do interviews. I didn’t want to talk about it, but I am really glad I did. I am glad I came back and I was able to perform.”

Eve started her journey in the highly acclaimed AGT show with an emotional entry where she revealed that the reason for her getting the audition was because she wanted to sing for her father.

She emotionally revealed that her father was diagnosed with a stage 4 colon cancer and that he was working to support to support the family despite the fact that doctors only gave him a 5% chance of surviving cancer.

Rest in peace Amos Abplanalp!
