American singer and songwriter, Michelle Branch welcomes her first baby with her fiance Patrick Carney, the American musician who is best known as the drummer for The Black Keys.

The Spirit Room singer gave birth to her first baby boy on 28 August 2018 and revealed the news through an Instagram post. She uploaded a picture for her baby boy while revealing the name of the child through the caption.
The couple named the baby boy Rhys James Carney who was born 8 lbs 13oz 20 inches at 11:48 pm. Michelle captioned the picture writing,
"Patrick and I are over the moon in love with our son Rhys James Carney. Born August 28th, 2018 At 11:48 pm 8 lbs 13oz 20 inches."
Rhys is the first child for Patrick whereas for Michelle the newborn is her second kid as she is already blessed with her 13-year-old daughter whom she shares with her ex-husband Teddy Landau, who is also a musician.
As for Michelle and Partick, they first revealed the news that Michelle was pregnant back in February. The pregnancy came just when the couple was about to send out their Save the Dates for the upcoming wedding in May.

The couple made the announcement of their newest addition to the family through a post on Instagram. The Hopeless Romantic singer uploaded a video of her ultrasound of their unborn child. She captioned the video writing,
“Baby Carney is happening this summer and Patrick and I couldn’t be more excited!”
The news of her pregnancy almost a year after they announced their engagement. Patrick proposed Michelle on her 34th birthday back in July 2017. The proposal came along with the birthday cake. The engagement turned out to be the best birthday gift for Michelle.
The pair had been dating for almost two years after they met and started dating back in February 2015. Soon they began writing and recording together. They even co-produced Michelle's latest album Hopeless Romantic.
