The news of his death was affirmed by his sons and daughter Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian Moore in an emotional tweet shared from Roger's official account.

The tweet also included a letter from the star's children where they stated,

"The love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified into words alone."

"Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people,"

This was, however, not the first time Moore had to battle this fatal ailment as back in 1993, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent surgery to remove his prostate.

Following his successful battle with cancer back then, he began dating  Kristina "Kiki" Tholstrup and made her his wife in 2002. She remained with Moore for the rest of his life and helped Moore handle both his personal and professional aspects of life.

And now that the star has left the world, the world has been paying touching tributes to the iconic star.

The world has lost a gem of a person, and everyone will sorely miss this legend.
