An arrest warrant was issued against Rose McGowan for felony possession of a controlled substance, as per the reports on October 31.
Rose was charged with felony claims after the police investigated her personal belongings; which she left while arriving at Washington Dulles International Airport on a United flight, back on January 20, 2017.
The investigation reported that the items she possessed tested positive for narcotics. However, the details of the types of the drugs are still under the wraps.
Following the incident, a warrant was issued against Rose on February 1, 2017, and she has been ordered to appear in a court of Loudoun County, Virginia. The warrant also entered the database of national law enforcement.
Rose hasn’t released a statement regarding the warrant but simply retweeted, which stated that if she had accepted the million dollars from Harvey Weinstein, the warrant would not have issued.
Rose Tweeted again on the matter,
Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSESHIT.— rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 30, 2017
Rose has been one of the leading names, who has come forward and spoke on the issue of being sexually harassed by the media mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Earlier in October, Rose mentioned Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos in the series of fiery tweets, where she confessed that a man with initial HW, raped her.
1) @jeffbezos I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said it. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was the proof.— rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017
2) @jeffbezos I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works— rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017
3) @Jeffbezos I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar.— rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017
Moreover, as per "The Hollywood Reporter," Rose has confirmed that the man she was referring to in her tweets, in none other than Harvey Weinstein.
Until now, 80 women have come forward and confessed that they had been the victim of Harvey's sexual assault and harassment. Reportedly, Harvey is in rehab, and his spokesperson on his behalf has denied the allegations of non-consensual sex.
