With a heartfelt Instagram post, Emmy award winning presenter Ricki Lake divulged that her ex-husband dies after his battle with bipolar disorder, citing him as ‘soulmate,' on Tuesday.
With a picture of both smiling and hugging, Lake captioned wholehearted condolence which says,
'It is with a heavy heart that I share that my beloved soulmate, Christian Evans has passed. The world didn’t understand this man, but I did.”
As per Lake’s post, Evan capitulated bipolar disorder for a long period, but the exact reason of death is not revealed yet. Further, she wrote,
“He succumbed to his life long struggle with bipolar disorder. For anyone who has ever lost a family member or friend to mental illness, my heart goes out to you.”
48 years old actress also gave her sympathy to all the families who has lost their friend or family member due to mental illness and went on describing how much Evan meant to her.
Lake also insight the time she spend her with Evan for which she added,
“ I am a greater person for having known him and spent the past 6 and a half years of my life with him. He was a man of love and what mends my broken heart today is knowing that he is finally at peace and his spirit is free. “
And ended her emotional announcement of death of her husband for two years saying,
“Rest in peace, my love.”
Lake and Evan started dating, after a friend of Lake introduced her with jewelry designer Christian Evan in 2010 and eloped in April 2012.

But after a couple of years of marriage, Lake filed for divorce shortly citing ‘irreconcilable differences.'
Later, in 2014 the two announced that their divorce was on hold, but in 2015 they got granted with divorce.
After all those, it is clear that Lake has cherished the moment which she has shared with Evan.
Previously, Lake was married to illustrator-bartender Rob Sussman in 1994 with whom she shares two sons Milo, 19, and Owen, 15.
