The fifty-five-year-old meteorologist, Sam Champion quits his job, leaving “The Weather Channel’’ only after two years of service with no unknown reasons behind his resignation.

As per the news published on AJC, Sam was the one who decided not to extend his contract of employment with mutual understanding with the management committee.

The Weather Channel expressed their gratitude towards their fellow employee, Sam Champion. A spokesman spoke a few words about this legendary anchor and his dedication towards his work. He expressed,

"While Sam will always be part of The Weather Channel family, we have mutually agreed to not enter into a new contract. As our managing editor, host of our flagship AMHQ and his pioneering work on '23.5 Degrees,' Sam's leadership has helped transform The Weather Channel into the dynamic high-quality environment it is today,"

He first joined “The Weather Channel” in March of 2014 to anchor in AMHQ after he resigned from “Good Morning America” on December 4, 2013. He got his own show, “23.5 Degrees with Sam Champion” after he got replaced from AMHQ and his last episode which was pre-recorded weeks before, airs today.
