New Girlfriend?

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has already found love in the shape of social media fitness guru, Pamela Reif. The Reds prolific goalkeeper has been dating the 20-year-old model Pamela since November of 2016, after reportedly ending a two-year relationship with German fashion model, Annelie Alpert.

Pamela has overall 2.7m followers on Instagram and is best known a fitness guru and describes herself as "one of Germany's most influential social media personalities."

Reif is said to be one of the five most popular German celebrities in social media with only football stars such as Dortmund’s Mario Gotze and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil having more fans.

Reif said:

"I get an incredible amount of feedback. People write me that they started with the sport because of me. Guys tell me that their girlfriends started training with me because they love me."

Karius joined the Reds from Mainz in the summer on 24 May 2016 for around £4 million and replaced Simon Mignolet as the club's first-choice keeper after recovering from a hand injury in September of 2016.

Karius picked the injury during a pre-season clash with Chelsea when he punched his teammate Dejan Lovren while trying to clear the ball. He said to Liverpool official site:

“I don’t know if it is going to be a week or however long [before I am back in full training], I just need to see how it feels. But I can now start using my hands and catch balls. It’s up to me now, basically.

Moreover, he added:

“We’re ahead of schedule because in total it’s been about five weeks [since the injury] I think, but I don’t want to rush it too much. Now I am in the last stages, I just want to feel good and confident about it, that it’s all done.

Some high-profile mistakes in PL matches led to a recall Belgium’s Mignolet in December of 2016 for Premier League action, but Karius was named in the side that was held to a goalless draw with Plymouth Argyle at Anfield in the FA Cup on 8th January 2017.

He was dropped in December of 2016 when manager Jurgen Klopp said he wanted to take him "out the firing line" but he also predicted: "He will bounce back."

The German boss said:

"Karius has a lot of things that other goalkeepers want to have. We want to develop the players - we don't want to convince people that he's not bad.

Moreover, he added:

"I know him really well and he's much better than he has been in the last two games. It's a situation which Liverpool have as a long-term project."

Loris Karius signed the five-year contract with Liverpool FC with the salary of £15K per week and has a long career ahead.
