Bill Weir started his career as a general assignment reporter and weekend sportscaster at KALL, Austin, Minnesota in 1991. In his two decades long journey, he has been involved in different television companies working different jobs like an anchor, reporter, and producer.
The former co-anchor of Nightline and Good Morning America on ABC News, Weir is famously known for his coverage of the economic rise of China and India. He is also known for covering special events such as Hurricane Katrina, the war in Afghanistan and several launches and landings of Space Shuttle.

Bill described his father as a liberal, atheist homicide detective who moved from Milwaukee’s chaos to find serenity in the Rockies. Due to differences, his mother left his father when Bill was only two years old. And when he was four years old his mother found Jesus and wanted to pursue televangelism, so they left Milwaukee and traveled. And as his mother followed her dreams, Bill went to 17 different schools in six different states.
