Who Is James Purefoy's Girlfriend-Turned-Wife? Son's Mother & Partner Not The Same
English actor James Purefoy is famous for his portrayal of the historical character Marc Anthony in the biographical drama series Rome. The series ended after two seasons, but his strong performance opened doors to several opportunities for him.
He has taken a step ahead in his relationship and turned his girlfriend into a wife. But his wife is not the parent to his children.
Family Life With Wife And Children
James started dating art historian Jessica Adams in 2007. After being involved in a live-in relationship for about seven years, the couple got married in 2014 at a private wedding in Somerset, England.
Talking about the ceremony, the 53-year-old told Telegraph in July 2014,
Our whole family was there and everyone enjoyed a wonderful day
Further, the partners are parents to three children, a daughter Rose born in 2012; and two sons, Ned and Kit born in 2017.
The couple is currently settled down and living in New York with their three children.

James is also father to a third son, who is the eldest of his children; however, his wife is not the mother. Moreover, his marriage to Jessica is not his first as he had previously tied the knot once in the past.
First Marriage With Ex-Wife
James was married to actress Holly Aird for six years from 1996 to 2002.
During the marriage, Holly gave birth to the couple's first child, a son named Joseph Jock Purefoy. He suffered from a rare blood disease during his childhood and has now recovered from the illness. Further, he got arrested in 2015 following an assault in Deia, Majorca but was later released without any charges.
James shared the news with dailymail saying his son was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Servant actor and Holly got divorced in 2002 without justifying their action. After the divorce, Holly got married to Toby Merritt in September 2004. She was pregnant during the marriage and gave birth to her daughter, Nelly Rose Meritt, in December 2004.
Holly currently lives with her husband and daughter in West London. Apart from that, James also has a long list of ex-girlfriends.
Unsuccessful Relationships
Back in the 80s, James was in a committed relationship with English actress Fay Ripley. The long-lasting romance which began in 1983 and ended after 11 years in 1994. Fay later married Australian actor, Daniel Lapaine in September 2011 and even has two children from the marriage.
Further, The Following actor also dated Iron Man actress Gwyneth Paltrow for a short while in 2002. The news of the couple dating first surfaced when the two were pictured together traveling in James' car. Although they have separated, James still has fond memories of her. In a 2014 interview, James described Gwyneth as a "lovely girl."
In 2004, the tabloids linked James to actress Piper Perabo. However, they came never came out as exclusive, and the rumors were thought to be a publicity stunt.
One year before he became involved with Jessica, James was rumored to have dated producer and social activist Mariana Tosca in 2006. Although, like the previous rumor this one was also thought to be a hoax.
