The former lawyer and politician Jerry Springer has successfully managed to juggle family and work for almost 48 years. Despite his busy schedule, the TV host has maintained a great balance between his work and married life with his wife, Micki Velton.
48 Years Of Married Life With Wife And Family
American TV presenter Springer married his wife, Micki Velton, back on June 16, 1973.

After three years of their marriage, the couple welcomed their daughter in 1976 and named her Katie Springer. Unfortunately, their daughter was born with disabilities. She was legally blind, deaf in one ear, and she didn’t have a nasal passage.
Jerry’s daughter, Katie, graduated from Barat College in May 2001 and got married after five years of graduating. At her reception, the father and daughter shared a beautiful dance, which Jerry had been practicing with his dancing partner Kym Johnson.

During an interview in 2006, Katie praised her father, saying that he would make a great president.
"I will stand up to anyone verbally who attacks my dad because he’s wonderful… he would make one hell of a President. I think people don’t realize what a huge heart he has. If my dad could change the world and make it better for everybody, he would."
After two years, in 2008, Jerry was blessed with a new family member as he became a grandfather. His grandson was named after Jerry’s father, Richard Springer.
In an article back in 2011, when Jerry was asked about his grandson, he shared-
”He’ll be 3 years old next month and he still doesn’t have a job (laughs). He’s wonderful. He’s gorgeous, a lovely kid, and tall. He calls me `Opa.’ Everyone says that until you have your own [grandchild], you don’t realize it really is the best thing in the world. It’s like it’s absolute, true love.”
Jerry and Micki have been living a happily married life for about 48 years. Although they have been sharing a beautiful bond, a rumor about their divorce started swirling around. However, they are still together.
Jerry Springer's Work Life
Jerry made his first television debut in broadcasting in 1973. Later in 1991, Jerry started to host the tabloid talk show The Jerry Springer Show, where guests fight on stage and exotic dancers perform on various episodes.
Jerry and his producer later modified the show in 1994, and it soon gained a lot of popularity. The show became controversial as it featured non-stop fighting between guests and even inappropriate content for kids.
However, the show still got numerous views, and it aired its 27th season in 2018. The episodes are still available on the Youtube channel called The Jerry Springer Show, which has around 2.49 million subscribers. Springer also has a podcast called Jerry Springer Podcast.
Also, Springer hosts a courtroom show called Judge Jerry. Further, Jerry’s net worth is estimated to be around $45 million.
