Those who are fans of Vanessa might know the fact that she was once married to Chris Perez on October 20, 2001. Chris, who was previously married to his now deceased wife Selena Quintanilla, is also an actor by profession.

Vanessa and Chris have two kids together, a son named Noah Pérez & a daughter named Cassie Pérez, and they were all smiles and happy, but like every relationship, theirs too got put to the sword, and thus, the relationship started seeing its downfall.

Reports of Vanessa filing for a divorce against her then husband first hit the media during 2008, and the reason was cited to be the fact that Vanessa's husband was never actually home and spent a lot of time partying and drinking which some sources tell.

The divorce could have made the two find their paths, but one has got to feel for the kids, though.

Maybe Chris found it difficult to get over the love and memories of his past wife and Vanessa was just too overshadowed which can be seen by the fact that in 2012, he wrote the book “To Selena, With Love,” which included personal photos and love letters between the two. In an interview, he said,

“I thought it should be honest, with dignity. I knew there would be things that would make me feel uncomfortable, but I think I wrote the book with respect,”

What happened to them after their Divorce?

After the demise of Chris and Vanessa's relationship, Chris got involved in another band formed in 2010 called the Chris Perez Project which was not much of success. But what has Vanessa been doing? Has she been dating someone new in her life and has a new boyfriend?

Well, following her split with her former husband, she seems to have dedicated her life to her kids, and she might be occupied with giving them the upbringing they deserve.

She has not been that vocal about her love relationships lately which might indicate two things, one, she is single and is focused on her career and children and two, she does not want to reveal any vital information regarding her love life to the fans and media.
