Bob Harper who is a personal trainer as well as the host of the NBC show "The Biggest Loser," shared on Instagram that he had a heart attack two weeks ago and is going fine.

A host of “Biggest Loser,” who has helped and counseled Americans wanting to lose weight on the reality Television series since 2004 collapsed during a workout at a New York City gym center two weeks ago, as reported by TMZ. Thankfully one of the fellow gym-goer, who happened to be a doctor, administered CPR and also used a defibrillator on the accident scene to keep him alive.

According to various media outlets, illness runs throughout his family. Bob Harper’s mother died from a heart attack a while back, and the 51-year-old celebrity trainer reportedly told TMZ that the cause of the incident is genetics, as he famously keeps a healthy diet.

After the incident, Harper was quickly transferred to a local hospital in New York, and he woke two days later and remained for the following eight days due to his current condition. Apparently, his doctor said that he was not ready to take flight, preventing him from returning to his home in Los Angeles.

The 51-year old celebrity physical trainer posted a photo of himself in bed, wearing a hospital gown on February 28 which read:

Well I guess you all heard what happened. Two weeks ago yesterday I had a heart attack. I am feeling better. Just taking it easy. KARL has been a great nurse. I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of messages and support. It feels good to be cared about. I've been home for 8 days now. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I'm lucky to have such good friends and family to take care of me right now. ?

The TV star, as well as an experienced fitness trainer, has appeared on overall 17 seasons of the NBC hit show "The Biggest Loser" show since 2004.
