American Songwriter Phil Elverum's secretly married to American actress, Michelle Williams!
As revealed by the Blue Star, Michelle Williams herself to Vanity Fair, she married Phil earlier this month in “a secret ceremony in the Adirondack, witnessed by only a handful of friends and their two daughters.”
Phil Elverum, a composer, has exchanged the wedding vows with his Oscar-nominated spouse, Michelle Williams earlier this year after losing his first wife to cancer.

Regarding her relationship with Phil "very sacred and very special," she divulged that the way Phil shows his love for is the only way she looks forward to living her life. She revealed that she is finally loved by the person who makes her feel free and herself with no boundaries. She said,
“Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.”
Well, the couple, who met through mutual friends, sure seems to share deep love and respect for each other.

Apart from love, the duo also shares the similarity of going through the tragedy of losing someone they loved. May the pain in their hearts held them close to each other.
Back in 2016, Phil lost the person he shared the marital bond with. His late wife, Geneviève Castrée, an illustrator and musician, was diagnosed with stage-4 pancreatic cancer, which was inoperable.
During that time, Genevieve had just given birth to their first baby daughter, now three years old. The pair, who preferred very private life, went public with GoFundMe page asking for help to defray their medical costs.
The single father of then 18-months old daughter, Phil made all the effort to keep the mother of his daughter alive only to lose her 13-months later. Despite the tragedies, Phil walked through it for the sake of his daughter.
Well, he sure did found love again and later, left his home in Anacortes, Washington and moved in to live with his new wife and daughter across the country in Brooklyn.
As for Michelle, she did not have an easy past. She too previously lost the father of her daughter, who is now 12 years of age. Back in 2003, she was married to Heath Ledger and shared a daughter with him. Talking to Vanity Fair, she stated,
“I never gave up on love. Obviously I’ve never once in my life talked about a relationship. But Phil isn’t anyone else. And that’s worth something. Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.”

After five years of sharing the marital bond, the pair ended their marriage and only three months after the divorce Heath lost his life from a prescription drug overdose.
Well, Phil and Michelle, who has both been through such tragedies, has got themselves now, in every thick and thins of their life.
