The coach of University of Mississipi's Ole Miss has done the impossible. With the team fighting for relegation and bottom spot not so long ago, the top ranking is now in their name. With the success that he has brought to the team, the coach has had an upgrade in his contract both regarding his working days and the salary figure which he receives annually. In his initial deal, his contract was set to expire in 2018. However, Ole Miss has pushed the contract's expiration date a year further and has made a deal with Hugh Freeze as a coach till 2019.

As his contract experienced an extended year, Hugh's salary also felt some inclination from 4.3 to $4.7 million annually with a bonus of $150,000 every year. This raise now makes him the 3rd highest paid coach in America. Beating him in the race are coach Nick Saban of Alabama who has the highest salary of almost 7 million dollars a year, followed by coach Kevin Sumlin of Texas A&M whose yearly income is 5 million dollars. 

Talking with cbssports.com, the director of the team Ross Bjork said;

Danny Hugh Freeze, Jr. was born on the 27th of September, 1969 in Oxford, Mississippi in a middle-class family; He is a 1992 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.

He also had a minor degree in coaching and sports administration but who'd have thought that it would be the one to make him famous. With a net worth value of 4.3 million dollars right now, he currently lives in his big new house with his wife Jill Freeze and his three daughters.

Freeze began his coaching career in 1992 when Briarcrest Christian School associated him, and in 1995 became their head coach winning many titles till 2004. After that, he worked for Mississippi Rebels (2005/ 07), Lambuth University Eagles (2008/ 09), Arkansas State Red Wolves (2010/ 11) and back with Mississippi Rebels as their head coach since 2012. He has been open about his challenges and failures in several interviews and has let the media talk about his success and fame.
