Perhaps Kota Ibushi was one of the hottest free agents of Pro Wrestling world. And next, one of the best wrestling company or say best, WWE signed him but only as a freelancer this June as a Cruiserweight Classic (CWC) participant. Ibushi is a champion wherever he’s wrestled.

Link with WWE and appearing on live event:

Kota Ibushi is one of professional wrestling’s biggest international star and has made his Full Sail University debut in May of 2016.

Kota Ibushi who is a former IWGP junior heavyweight champion and current Cruiserweight Classic (CWC) participant, faced Buddy Murphy on the taping. Kota Ibushi won with a sit-out powerbomb, his signature maneuver.

Ibushi was one of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s top stars and the face of the DDT promotion during his times in Japan before departing both companies in early 2016. He worked as a freelancer and did start his own the Ibushi Pro Wrestling Institute whose goal is to research the various styles of pro wrestling.

Ibushi appeared on camera at the NXT TakeOver: Dallas show which was over WrestleMania weekend and there was also a huge speculation that he could be headed to WWE. He was then announced this year earlier as one of the 32 participants in the CWC tournament.

WWE.com has released a statement over Kota Ibushi, and it quotes:

“As if the sight of Kota Ibushi at NXT TakeOver: Dallas wasn’t enough to get the rumor mill rolling, another highly acclaimed grappler was revealed amid a sea of NXT fans. Former World Champion Bobby Roode was shown watching the live WWE Network event very closely from his seat in the capacity crowd. But why was the veteran competitor at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas?”

No to WWE:

Regarding the WWE Cruiserweight division re-launching, and it has also confirmed that it is coming to the RAW brand on September 19. That’s the reason WWE has started reaching out to talents for the purpose of signing them to the division.

Regarding the trending superstar Kota Ibushi, he's not signing with the company at this point but still Vince want him around in NXT.

WWE Cruiserweight Classic competitor Kota Ibushi has now confirmed to Japanese media this week that he said no to a full-time deal from WWE. Ibushi also added that he could continue wrestling in WWE "as spot" and since his dream is to become the most famous wrestler in the world. Ibushi confirmed that he would continue to wrestle in Japan. Sorry WWE fans!

Girlfriend, Dating, or is Gay?

Since making his professional in-ring debut for Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) in 2004, wrestling has been Ibushi’s everything. The passion of getting into the ring and wrestling has driven him to give 12 long years of his life in this field. That’s the reason he is not involved in any affair or dating with ladies, neither is he married nor has a girlfriend. Now the question may arise that he is gay. But information about his sexuality is still unknown.

Kota's Short Bio:

Kota Ibushi (born May 21, 1982) is a Japanese professional wrestler. He started his career back in Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) in 2004 and over the next eleven years he became a three-time KO-D Openweight Champion, five-time KO-D Tag Team Champion, and a two-time KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion.
