Brian J. Smith was shooting in Brazil for the series Sense 8 in mid-2016. Brian along with his co-stars Max Riemelt, Jamie Clayton, and Miguel Ángel Silvestre attended the Sao Paulo Pride Parade. The theme of the parade for 2016 was “Gender Identity Law, NOW! Everyone together against transphobia!” The parade aimed at gathering public support to pass a law which would allow Brazilians to choose their gender as per one’s wish without falling the victim of the rules set by the society.

As per reports on towleroad.com June 1, 2016, Brian J. Smith and his Sense 8 co-star Miguel Angel Silvestre were spotted making out during the parade at Sao Paulo Pride.

Furthermore, on the request of the fans, Brian J. Smith kissed his co-star Max Riemelt during the gay parade. They lip-locked for few seconds and parted away smiling, which is supported by the video which was published on May 30, 2016.

Brian supported the cause not only with his presence but through his actions as well. But was his intentions limited in supporting the cause or he was fulfilling his hidden desires? Is he living inside the closet without acknowledging his sexuality?

The questions arise as Brian is seen on the gay side and that he is not dating a girlfriend to fend these rumors. So the truth lies within Brian, and the only speculation remains alive unless he comes forward and clears the rumors.

Brian is a talented artist, and in a recent interview on February 1, 2017, he shared few details of his acting journey.

On being asked about his serious thought on becoming an actor, he said,

Probably around the time I stumbled on Stanislavsky's books in my high school library. I loved the idea that acting was something you could develop into slowly, something you could study. I try not to read acting books any more, but they set a high bar for me very early on.

Brian went to prestigious acting school Julliard, and he revealed his experience as,

Juilliard. It was a brutal and beautiful experience.

Also, Brian shared how he picks out a project and said,

Well, thankfully the project chooses you. I hope to God I'm never in a place where I can just choose what kind of work I get to do next. I'd make so many mistakes! I guess I'm not that ambitious to be honest. I just want to have a good time and make beautiful things. If it weren't acting I'm sure I'd be doing the same thing with furniture or music or lighting design. And in terms of stage or screen, again, I'll go where the door opens.

Moreover, Brian talked about his upcoming projects and revealed,

Looks like I'll be doing another Tennessee Williams play right after we finish Glass Menagerie, and here in the UK as well. I gotta bite my tongue on the specifics for now, but I'm very much looking forward to it.
