Barbara Niven, Young and Restless Actress, About Lesbian Character in 'Perfect Ending'
Despite their age, many actresses tend to look too good for their age. And so does Barbara Niven, who looks so much younger than she is that it became the cause of her restlessness. This incident sounds ironical considering her portrayal in American Television series "Young and Restless".
Find out the cause behind her restlessness and also learn about her say on playing a lesbian character in the movie, ‘Perfect Ending.'
‘Role of a Lifetime’ for Niven:

Even though Barbara Niven is straight and this is her first role as a lesbian in her entire career, her performance says something totally contradictory. She seems very comfortable in the role and considers it the role of a lifetime according to her interview published in a digital journal dated March 22, 2013.

Despite starting her career only in her mid-thirties, Niven has had a great run in the business and must have portrayed close to a hundred roles including many guest appearances.
But she thinks that her role as Rebecca Westridge is "the Most favorite.” It must be something about the bored and rigid homemaker, Rebecca that Niven can relate to.
Support from Co-stars:
The role, after all, was a gift from her long-time friend, Nicole Conn@NicoleConn, who is the writer as well as the director of ‘Perfect Ending’. Conn has also been a major inspiration for her to gain confidence in such a passionate movie.

“Nicole makes it safe to not play safe and go for it and expose everything,” she says. Niven took the time to talk about her co-star, Jessica Clark as well who plays the high-priced prostitute teaching Rebecca about passion, “She honored the work; she had such an intense role.
It was her first role, and she went places that a seasoned actor would have a hard time doing. I’m so proud of her. I think she’s going to be a superstar. And she deserves that because she puts in the work and she’s also beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside.”
