An Exquisite reason behind not remarrying!

The seven times Emmy Award winner comedian Betty White is known for her roles in The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show among her famous. The American actress met the love of her life, Allen Ludden when she made her appearance as a guest on the game show, Password, in 1961.

Before getting married to Allen Ludden in 1963, Allen Ludden proposed Betty White twice but first she denied. She revealed while making her appearance in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2015 that not marrying Allen Ludden for a year is the biggest regret of her life. She stated

"I spent a whole year, wasted a whole year that Allen and I could have had together, saying, 'No, I wouldn't marry him. No, I won't. No, I won't leave California. No, I won't move to New York,'" I wasted a whole year we could have had together. But we made it. We finally did."

But tragically, Ludden passed away in 1981 due to stomach cancer. The actress who celebrated her 95th birthday on January 2017, she didn’t remarry after the death of Ludden. The reason behind not marrying even after 34 years of husband’s death, she responded to Larry King,

“Once you've had the best, who needs the rest?”

During her another interview with Piers Morgan in 2012 she mentioned,

“I had 18 wonderful years with Allen Ludden, The first two were . . . rehearsals.”

Betty White has always considered her last marriage the best which can never be replaced but preoccupied with her career. She never got a chance to have her own children but always cherished the fact that she is blessed with her step children.

Before getting married to the father of three Allen Ludden in 1963, she was married to US Army pilot Dick Barker in 1945. Due to some personal reasons, the marriage didn’t last long. Then she remarried Hollywood agent Lane Allen in 1947 but divorced in 1949.
