Cecily Strong Is Not Married! Just Experimenting Luck When Dating

Marriage is a lifelong commitment. Just like how it is okay to take a few test drives before you finally get the car you want, it is okay to have boyfriends and date before getting married and have a husband.

We are here to talk about an actress who can strongly relate to the latter scenario. The 33-year-old actress Cecily Strong is not married, but she has not given up on dating, and she seems to be experimenting with the luck at the moment.

Cecily Strong's Dating Status: Experimenting with Luck?

Cecily Strong is one of those celebrities who remain outspoken about her personal life and dating affairs. While most celebrities prefer to dough any question that involves their boyfriend or partner, Cecily is very honest and does not hesitate to answer about her personal life in public.

The comedian Cecily was in a relationship with her SNL co-worker Mike O’Brien back in 2014. The duo worked together on Saturday Night Live and started seeing each other. As it is considered inappropriate to date a co-worker in most of the work-space, eyebrows were raised when Cecily did the frowned-upon act.

When Cecily was asked a question regarding the issue in an interview, she replied,

Absolutely. It's probably stupid. But I got the okay from my dad, who is a business professional. It happens. The good thing is I never feel like I'm complaining or talking about my job too much.

But her dating status in 2015 was very contradictory, as neither Cecily nor her then-boyfriend, Mike, made any updates about their togetherness. In addition to that, the couple did not make any announcement about their break up either, which made it seem like they were keeping their dating life private.

However, the news of the breakup between Cecily and Mike was finally confirmed when Cecily talked about her romance in Rome in an interview in 2016.

“I was just in Rome. I’m having an Italian love affair. I first met him in Seville, Spain, before I broke my foot in Ibiza.”

Although she did not mention the name of the guy, she did spill the details about her boyfriend.

“He’s studying to be a diplomat, which is nice. It’s all very new. So who knows if it’ll be a thing? But it’s still fun. He reminds me of Roberto Benigni in a way. We’ve talked every day for two months. I’m not rushing into anything, I promise. If I were too emotionally attached, I’d be too scared to talk about it.”

And much like her previous relationship, there were no further details to support the continuity of this one. While people were speculating about her love life, news of Cecily's pregnancy started floating around when a fan mistook her weight gain for her being pregnant.

I felt like I was betraying myself not to say anything. I thought of myself as a 12-year-old. I've never had a hot bod or been seen that way. I didn't want to make it a big deal, but it was nice to feel support from other girls. Boys get it too. It's not even just a girl issue.

She did not let that take her down; instead, she came out stronger.
