Dichen Lachman was born in Kathmandu, Nepal on February 22, 1982. The actress was born a Tibetan mother and an Australian father, thus she posses mixed ethnicity. Lachman lived her childhood days in Kathmandu, Nepal until the age of seven with her parents.
For the formal education, she attended the Norwood Morialta High School, Annesley College and later joined the University of Adelaide in Adelaide. However, Lachman dropped out of university decided to make her career in acting. To pursue acting, she moved to Sydney and then joined Lynette Sheldon Actors Studio in Sydney.
Later, in 2005 Lachman showcased her acting talent on the Australian soap opera, Neighbours and had been giving her best one after another till now. Throughout her career, she is mostly known for Aquamarine (2006), Dollhouse (2009), Lust for love (2014) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014-15).
