Martin Kaymer's Partner Was Married To Rugby Player, Four Girlfriends, Rumored Wife

Known as The Ice Man for his nerves of steel during the 2012 Ryder Cup, Martin Kaymer has a long list of dating affairs.

Martin, who was ranked as the no. 1 golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking in 2011, romancing history includes dating with a legendary golfer's daughter and flirting with a divorced woman. 

The three-times PGA tour winner, who was regarded as one of PGA Tour’s Most Eligible Bachelor, has been at the top of the headlines for his dating issues.

In 2017, the German athlete made the headlines for secretly dating a popular, English television and radio presenter. 

Dating History: 

The German professional’s first known relation dates back to 2008. Then, he started dating a woman named Jenny.

 Later, he was seen dating Allison Micheletti, the daughter of the Legendary NHL Player, Joe Micheletti. 

The couple, who both shared the passion for golf, followed one and a half year of dating period before they split up in 2012. 

Following the split, Martin's ex-girlfriend tied the knot with NHL Player Mike Modana in September 2013. She later became the mother of twins with Mike.

Later, in 2015, Martin reportedly started dating TV host Kirsty Gallacher, the daughter of the former Ryder Cup captain, Bernard Gallacher, and cousin of Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher. 

It was Kirsty's cousin, Stephen, who introduced the pair the first time. He was Kaymer’s golf mate. 

The couple reportedly came together during 2014 Ryder Cup and flourished their relationship.

Kirsty, a golf broadcaster for Sky Sports New, was undergoing the difficult time after her divorce with ex-husband and rugby player, Paul Sampson when Kaymer approached her with affection.

She was previously married to English rugby player Paul for four years and even shared two children with him before she started dating Martin.

In an interview with Sun in November 2014, a source provided insights on their separation, stating, 

"Kirsty has had a really tough year with the breakdown of her marriage. She is going through a difficult time with her divorce. Now hopefully she has found something to make her smile again. She is single for the first time in 14 years and she is allowed to have some fun. There is plenty of flirting going on and they are clearly very fond of each other."

Post Kristy's divorce with Paul, Martin was often spotted with the 39-year-old stunning presenter in galas and programs of all sorts.

An insider told Dailymail in November 2014 that Kamer was after Kristy, stating,  

“Martin has clearly taken a shine to her, it’s fair to say that he has been doing the chasing.”

In 2013, they also had one hell of an awkward interview with Skysports where they were spotted flirting on live TV.

Flirtations And Taking Shine:

Various sources reported about the on-going flirtation between Martin and Kirsty at the time. 

After Kirsty Gallacher, the professional golfer reportedly started dating TV host, Mel Sykes secretly in January 2015.

The couple didn't officially claim their relationship after the rumors kept buzzing.

Before the rumors kept flying, they had been spotted time again in the same exotic locations at the same time more than once.

In January 2018, when Martin posted images of him during the time he competed in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Melanie shared her bikini shots clicked in Dubai during the same time, on their respective social media accounts. 

One of Melanie's friends confirmed their relationship to Sun, stating, 

"They are both pretty relaxed about everyone knowing of their relationship."

Similar kind of coincidence had occurred in January 2015 when Martin participated in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in 2015, Melanie was holidaying at the same place.

Melanie was previously rumored to be dating English singer-songwriter Olly Murs which she denied on her Twitter. 

Martin Kaymer's Career Difficulties: Hostile Crowds And Injuries!

Back in 2016, The European Ryder Cup team was upset with hostile Hazeltine crowds as the biennial event was lost for the first time since 2008.

Various players like Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett, Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose expressed their displeasure.

In an interview with golfdiest.com on October 2016, Martin Kaymer complained about reactions from the crowd saying, 

“Ninety-five percent of the crowd were fine but there are just some idiots in the crowd and I just find it amazing that they are standing there with their children in their hands and they say things that you think, ‘that’s you child next to you, what role model are you?’ It’s a bit shocking sometimes, the comments you hear.”

Later, Martin became a victim of injury in March 2018, which resulted in him to withdraw from Honda Classic due to his right wrist injury.

Updating about his injury, he tweeted a video in which he explained that his doctor in Germany diagnosed a misplaced bone in the wrist.

Also, addressing his comeback issue, he said in the video,

"The next time I'll be back on the golf course? I don't know yet. But hopefully, sooner than later."

Previously, he had withdrawn from PGA Championship in August 2017 due to his left shoulder injury. 

His brother, Philip had then confirmed that the professional golfer had inflammation in the tendon of his upper biceps due to which he had to take a break of 10 days from the golf.

Martin Kaymer (born 28 December 1984) is a German professional golfer and winner of two major championships.

 He was also the No. 1 ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking for eight weeks in 2011.

The Dusseldorf native has registered 25 professional tour wins to this date, including 3 in PGA Tour, 11 in European Tour and 11 in others, which has fetched him majors namely U.S. Open and PGA Championship. 

The European Tour Golfer of the year 2010 still has a lot to add to his tally. In first March 2018, his world ranking was 87.
