However, Helen is now a married woman for 22 years with husband Taylor Hackford. The couple tied the wedding knot in 1997 after dating each other for ten years.

Helen revealed in an interview with AARP The Magazine that she chose her work over marriage but eventually decided to get married after meeting Taylor. She also added the main reason to marry was legal issues like estate planning and continuous insistence from family.

However, even after two decades of marriage, Helen has not started a family with her husband. Justifying herself, Helen said that taking career and family together was a daunting task. She was always more focused on her career. She planned to have children but later ran out of years.
