Jazz Jennings' Surgery: Would Rather Date A Transgender As Her Boyfriend.

The upcoming third season of Jazz Jennings‘ show, I Am Jazz, will focus on the transgender reality star’s major decision to undergo surgery, which she calls the ultimate step in her quest to becoming her most authentic self.

Recently, she discussed the procedure and opened up about the obstacles in her path. She exclaimed,

“There’s definitely been a lot of complications in terms of the bottom surgery. We’ve been talking about it a lot. You’ll see in the show, there’s some problems because I’ve been on the hormone blockers and basically I haven’t had a lot of development — so we’re debating if I have enough material to work with.”

She also added,

“It’s all this weird stuff. It’s been a journey for sure. I haven’t gotten the procedure yet, but this season you’ll see me go on consultations and finding the surgeon of my choice.”

She also addressed the fact that the procedure was a tough one but fear is not going to stop her.

“With any surgery, there’s always fears. And I know my mom, she’s especially fearful because she doesn’t like me going under anesthesia and all that stuff. But for me, I’m not really worried about it. I’m actually kind of excited. This is something I’ve always looked forward to. I don’t know — it’s going to be fun.”

In the video above, she also addressed the issue about Survivor's contestant Zeke Smith who was outed as a gay by Jeff Varner.

She also addressed the queries related to her love life when she said,

“I basically say that it’s like love without limits. I love people for who they are on the inside regardless of their label — their sexual orientation, their gender. I just love people for who they are.”

Now, this retakes us to late 2016, when she revealed that she struggled in her dating life during her high school times. She stated that boys used to hug her friends, but used to whisk past her, as if she never existed.

In her own words,

'Boys flirt and hug my friends, but they just whisk by me as if I don't exist'

She then added,

‘Let’s face it, your average straight cis-gender teenage boy isn’t going to pursue a relationship with a trans-girl. Even if he does find her attractive, it could be social suicide if he acts on his feelings.’

And then she continued that she would rather date a transgender boy as her boyfriend.

‘I’d love to meet a cute trans-boy who will be my true love, or possibly my soul mate. However, the dating pool is less than limited, because I’m the only “out” transgender girl in my school. I feel that there are others lurking, some may be stealth, while others just aren’t ready to come out.’

Jazz also explained how she got a call from her boyfriend from elementary school.

‘Then unexpectedly, I get a text from an old friend. Not just any friend, but a guy friend. He knew I was trans, but didn’t care. Our moms played matchmaker and before I could object he was my boyfriend. We held hands. We went to the fair and to the movies. We giggled a lot, and had fun on our “playdates.” We peck-kissed a couple of times.’

So is the guy who texted her the one she has been looking for all her life? Let us wait and see what happens!
