Every girl would love to have a life partner who is exactly how she imagined. But there isn’t a certainty that you will enjoy an endless relation even marrying a dreamlike person. Likewise, here we are with a story about an anchor who married a person whom she thought would be perfect but now isn't together anymore.

The beautiful sportscaster for NBC, Kathryn Tappen adores hockey and its players more than any other sports.

Wedding, Married Life, and Husband:

The interesting part of her life is that the partner she chose is a hockey player. Kathryn Tappen married Jay Leach, former defenseman for New Jersey Devils, in July 2009 at New Castle Congregational Church.

Kathryn met Jay first in February 2005 during National Hockey League. Kathryn was a reporter for NHL while boyfriend Ryan was a player. She shared about their early days with The New York Times:

“We both had off on Mondays and were able to hang out a lot, and I soon realized that he has a great, light-hearted personality,”

The couple was jubilant in the initial years of marriage. They were seen frequently talking about each other in the tabloids. Kathryn proudly said about the supportive nature of her husband, in 2012, interview with New York Times:

“You probably have to ask him. But I think he’s really proud of what I’ve achieved and what I’ve accomplished. We’re both incredibly supportive of each other. Our travel schedules are really difficult, but we really enjoy our down time together. But I think the bottom line is no matter what sport I’m covering or what channel I’m on, he’s going to support me.”

Is the couple Separated/Divorced?

The marriage has completed seven years this July. But we don’t see any celebrations or happiness of couples being exposed in the media. Moreover, there are rumors that Kathryn has stopped wearing the engagement ring.

As you can see, Kathryn has not worn the engagement ring in this photo. Have you noticed the engagement ring in her hand on a recent occasion?? Well, the abandonment of the engagement ring makes it distinct that the couple has separated. However, the couple has not been outspoken about the divorce yet.

Kathryn's Short Bio:

Born on April 9, 1981, Kathryn Tappen was born in Morrison town. She was a scholarship student at Rutgers University. She is one of the prominent faces in the sports world. Kathryn has been reporting for NHL Network for nine years.

During an interview with Boston Common, when asked about an alternate career for Kathryn she said:

I'd be trying to figure out how to get into sports reporting! It's all I've ever wanted to do. Political Science was my second major at Rutgers University. Candidly, I've always dreamed that my alter ego went to Harvard Law and became an FBI secret agent.

Besides NHL, she covers Football Night in America, Notre Dame Football, and much more. Kathryn started her career as a lead anchor and studio host for NESN's "sports desk." She has made coverage of some significant events including the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games and Super Bowl XLIX, and she has also joined prestigious events like the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2018 Pyeongchang.

Currently, she is busy with the Olympics and she shares her journey with her fans through Instagram.
