Maureen E. McPhilmy: Divroced Her Past Husband in 2011, Who is She Married to Now?

Not every marriage has a happy ending. Some marriages are meant to last for months, some for years and some even last the entire life. Then is it that every unsuccessful marriage is horrifying?  Perhaps not, because some even lead to another wedding which has lots of happiness to give to you.

In this context, we are going to talk about a public relations executive, Maureen E. McPhilmy who has experienced something similar like this.  

Married to Bill O'Reilly: Divorced due to Physical Assault!

On November 2, 1996, Maureen got married to political commentator Bill O'Reilly,@oreillyfactor, whom she met in the year 1992. They enjoyed their wedding in St. Brigid Parish of Westbury. The couple together has a daughter Madeline, born on 1998, and a son named Spencer, born in the year 2003. However, the relationship couldn't last long and thus ended with a separation on April 2, 2010. Their divorce was finalized only on September 1, 2011.

The reason for their divorce was later revealed. Maureen reported that she was physically assaulted by her husband of fifteen years Bill O'Reilly before their separation in the bitter court battle over custody of their two children. She said that she was dragged by Bill down a staircase by the neck.

Their seventeen-year-old daughter Madeline claimed that she witnessed the physical assault which took place at the couple's Manhasset, New York. However, Bill was not aware of her at that point.

Through his personal attorney, Bill released a statement calling the allegations “100 percent false” in May 2015. The statement read,

“All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100% false. I am going to respect the court-mandated confidentiality put in place to protect my children and will not comment any further.”

However, their three-year custody dispute ended in April 2015 where the custody of their children was granted to Maureen by Nassau County Supreme Court justice.

In an ironic sense, O'Reilly has fought against domestic violence and seems to not take well to those who physically abuse their family.

Has Maureen moved on? Boyfriend?

After her separation with Bill in 2010, Maureen began a new chapter of her life. She is now married to Jeffrey Gross, a country police detective. Gross is a widower and has two teenage children from his previous marriage with Kathleen McBride, who died due to cervical cancer in 2006. Maureen and Gross now live in upscale Manhasset, on New York's Long Island in their $4million home.

Gawker claims that O'Reilly tried to get an Internal Investigation case about the relationship between Maureen and Jeffrey through his inside contacts in the New York police department.

Her ex-Husband Bill filed a $10 million lawsuit against her

Gawker revealed that Bill O'Reilly is planning to sue his ex-wife for $10 Million. Apparently, O'Reily accused Maureen of misleading him on their divorce agreements and using the received funds from the Divorce alimony to fund her 'already existing extra-marital relationship.'

It is speculated that Maureen and Jeffrey started dating after O'Reilly and Maureen's separation but before her divorce and it has been assumed that they were already in an affair at that time. 

Most information about this case is under tight lips and locks as O'Reilly, and his lawyers have requested that all future filings related to the case be kept private.

Seems like a bad case of Infidelity but then again, O'Reilly is no saint himself. He has been sued for sexual harassment and has been involved in a few other sexual harassment cases himself.  

In recent news, it has been revealed that Bill is on a break recently from his work and some have speculated that the reason behind it is the bashlack from the exposure of his sexual harassment cases. It has been revealed that 21st Century Fox has settled over $13 Million dollars in 5 different sexual harassment suits after the revelation of the Roger Ailes sexual harassment case.
