Nick Faldo Unlucky With A Wife? Has A Girlfriend Now After Multiple Relationships?

Regarded as Britain’s most successful golfer, Nick Faldo is one of those leading light who hasn't met his ideal partner even after multiple marriages, divorces and relationships. But what really happened then? Let's take a peek into Nick's personal front for the answer!

Nick Faldo’s unsuccessful marriage and relationships

It seems that he is unlucky in love, as he has been married and divorced three times from 1979 to 2006. Did you know that he ended his first marriage for his agent's secretary and his second marriage for a 20-year-old student?

Though he had a very successful career, his love life couldn’t be as blissful and stable as it had to be.

At the age of twenty-one, Nick met his first wife, Melanie Rockall. The pair got married in the year 1979 and shared no children together.

Despite the love at the beginning, their marital relation could not last for more than five years. Melanie filed for divorce in 1984 after she discovered Nick's affair with Gil Bennett, who was his manager’s secretary at that time.

Two years after Nick ended his relationship with his first wife, he got married to Gill Bennett in 1986.

Talking about their kids, they share three children together; Natalie, 30, Matthew, 28, and Georgia, 24. They were bound in a marital relationship for around nine years and got separated in 1995. Nick's divorce with his second wife Gill was settled in £7 million.

You might not know that Nick had an affair with Brenna Cepelak in 1995, an American student, who was 18 years junior to him.  Nick’s relationship with his girlfriend lasted for three years.

When Nick dumped her for Miss Bercher, she demanded million dollars for every year she spent with him. In the end, Brenna agreed for less than a quarter of the amount she demanded.

Faldo met his third wife Valerie Bercher in 1998 at the European Masters golf tournament. During that time Miss Bercher was engaged, but she left her fiancé for Nick.

You might not know that Nick proposed Bercher during a holiday in Paris. Talking about their relationship, Nick said-

“Thanks to Valerie's love and support, I am happier than ever and we are both very excited about our future plans together.”

He continued-

“This one's going to last.”

Nick got married to Valerie in July of 2001 in a lavish wedding ceremony. In the year 2006, he faced £15million divorce payout, after he filed for divorce from his 31-year-old wife, Valerie.

According to a source, the pair started having a problem from 12 months ago. The source continued-

“This time the problem seems to be that Valerie was very high maintenance and quite demanding - she has been compared to Heather McCartney in that sense. His previous marriages broke up because of Nick's single-mindedness. But now he's much more chilled out and he still hasn't been able to make it work.”

The pair together shares a daughter Emma Scarlet, who was born in July 2003.

After going through divorce thrice which was settled with several million, Nick still enjoys the net worth of $60 million. No doubt that he earns an incredible salary from his profession!
