Remarkable Journey With Family
Patrice Comey is the wife of the American lawyer, James Comey. The couple shares more than 30 years of married life together after they first met in 1978 as a freshman in the same college.
The college sweethearts were students of William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia. Patrice insisted that she met James at a "daiquiri party" in college, but James denied saying he does not recall any memory of such meeting at the party.
Instead, he shares a different memory of Patrice nominating him for dorm council's presidency after a mutual friend introduced them.
The couple began dating since then and followed nine years of romantic relationship. Patrice later tied the nuptial knot with James, the seventh Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1987.
The married couple moved to Virginia in the early '90s, and it was Patrice who encouraged James for that step. Revealed in 2003's New York Magazine profile, Patrice's husband stated,
"My wife wasn't digging New York. We wanted to live in a place where we'd both be happier raising our kids. She knew northern Virginia because she'd grown up there and in Iowa, but we liked Richmond as a place to live."
Well, the couple shares a strong love for each other, which can be witnessed in their social media too. On the occasion of Patrice's birthday, James, without revealing her age, wished her a happy birthday via his Twitter on 10 November 2017.
Patrice later welcomed six children to the family; namely Abby, Claire, Brien, Kate, Maurene, and Collin with James.

However, she only has five children as of now because she, unfortunately, lost her child just nine days after his birth.
Infant's Loss
It was not always sunshine for Patrice!
She had to go through the tragedy of losing her child, Collin in 1995 after nine days of his birth. The pair lost their 9-day-old baby to treatable infection; Group B strep infection. It’s believed he contracted the bacterial infection in the birth canal. Collin took his last breath in his mother's arms while Patrice sang him lullabies.
The couple was then-blessed with two daughters and son, who was born 16 months apart from Collin. The family was expecting the two boys would become “buddies.” However, that never happened as time played its trick and the Comey family had to deal with the heart-wrenching tragedy instead.
As of now, one of Patrice's daughters, Maurene followed their footsteps. She attended William and Mary College and is studying at Harvard's Law School; Patrice's daughter may soon reach the height of success like her parents after all.
