Fox News reporter Peter Doocy is a Washington-based correspondent for the news channel.

Being involved with Fox News since 2009, Peter has already covered the hot topics including the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, the Midwestern floods of 2011, and the United States presidential elections of 2008 and 2012.

But his profession is not always easy as it brought along the rumors like that of being gay. It is another story to know whether Peter has a love life to answer the gay rumors or do nothing at all.

Why don't you dig the whole story to find the answer for yourself!

Non-Existent Dating Profile, Raises Gay Rumors

Peter has kept his personal life confidential and has no prior history of any girlfriend. The reporter is reportedly single and has not revealed any details about being a married man.

His absent dating life has raised rumors among viewers of Peter secretly hiding his sexuality in the closet. Further, he also supported gay marriage, which added the fuel to the gay rumors.

On 12 November 2013, the 30-year-old shared a Twitter post in which he supported President Obama's views on gay marriage after the Hawaii Senate passed legislation favoring same-sex wedding.

Apart from the tweet, Peter's love life is a mystery to all and so is his sexual preference. However, the fact which Peter flaunts publicly is his relationship with his family.

Successor of Father, Responsible Brother

The son of Steve and Kathy Gerrity Doocy, Peter has the parents followed his father's footsteps of journalism.

The reporter's father, Steve is a New York Times best-selling author and a well-known Fox News anchor, who runs the talk-show Fox & Friends.

Steve, who is married to Kathy more than 30 years, once got accused of passing sexist remarks towards his co-host, Gretchen Carlson, in 2009. However, Peter has a clean record as he has not been linked to any controversies.

As for finances, the New Jersey native earns a salary averaging $120k per year which is much less compared to his father's salary of $500k per year. His father has a net worth of $2 million, however, Peter's value of assets is not disclosed. Still, there is no professional rivalry between the father-son duo and the two share a harmonic relationship.

Further, the reporter who stands at the height of nearly 6'5", is also close to his mother and have talked about her through social media. On 11 April 2014, he shared a 25-year-old picture of his mother with a baby Peter and expressed his love for her.
