Shiri Appleby Has Three Babies with Husband! Got Married Despite Strange Phobia

Marriage is a celebration of love in the world where many marriages end in divorce. Based on that fact, it is not surprising if someone has agitation with the whole idea of getting married.

Shiri Appleby, an American actress, and her husband, Jon Shook took quite a while to tie the knot.

Shiri Appleby is happily married to her chef husband, Jon Shook, and they have two beautiful children together. But that wasn't the case in the past. Shiri had some serious marriage jitters.

The actress was not quite sure about getting married and wondered if there was a thing called "marriage test".

I know this is a strange desire, but I secretly wish there was such a thing as a marriage test. Now hear me out before you call me crazy. I know our school days are behind us and I’m not asking to re-enrol in a six-period, high school lifestyle anytime soon. But what I do miss from those days is how simple things were. You studied for a test, spewed out what you could remember and got your grade back in a matter of days.

Well her words do make sense, to be honest. Wait until you hear more.

So now I’m at the stage in life where people all around me are married and popping out babies like they’re on a race to Cedar’s Sinai — LA’s hottest hospital. The 60 percent divorce rate scares the hell out of me; so much so that I’m left wondering where the test is that would cure all this anxiety. I mean, we take two tests to get a driver’s license, we subject ourselves to essays and multiple-choice exams for college acceptance, another to become an American citizen, and we spend months of our lives studying to pass the Bar. I mean, we’re at the point where we are now testing our toddlers on their potential upon entering preschool but nowhere is there a test to become a spouse, or for that matter, a parent. It’s like we are testingaholics, only the one thing we desperately need a test for (i.e. marriage) doesn’t exist.

But that was all in the past. The actress has overcome all her anxieties regarding the marriage and is happily married to the chef. They are blessed with two children: one they gave birth to before their marriage and one after.

The pair had gotten engaged five months before they announced their pregnancy when they were on a trip to Ventotene, Italy. Shiri recalls her proposal like it was yesterday.

"One second you're having lunch, the next you have a ring on your finger! It happened so fast, she made Shook do it twice! "I was like, 'I want to slow this moment down.'"

After the engagement, questions about marriage were bound to happen, to which she expressed:

"Now we're kind of excited…when we get married our family will be there. Our kids will be a part of it. We have made a list, we're going to get married soon. We've really just been waiting to buy a new house. We want to do it in the house. Super family oriented, we want to make it about the kids," 

Only a few months after their engagement they welcomed a baby girl named Natalie Shook in March 2013. The couple had decided to wait till the delivery to find the gender of the baby. 

'She's heaven. I'm beyond thrilled.'
 

Even though there are no exclusive details about their wedding, according to a source report, the couple tied the knot after they gave birth to their baby girl, Natalie.

The speculation of their wedding had not even settled down when the duo announced their second pregnancy in 2015 and welcomed their son Owen Lee on December 16 of the same year. Shiri shared a cute family picture on her Twitter welcoming her son Owen Lee along with her daughter Natalie and husband Jon.

After the news of the marriage broke in, Shiri was able to grab a handful of attention after she flaunted her tiny waist on the screening of Unreal just 6 months after having a baby. She wore a mini black dress with floral print accentuating her tiny waistline and looked adorable.

Now, the couple is blessed with two children and is very happy with each other. However, Shiri did share a cute picture of her "mommy meltdown" moment on Instagram last May.

Shiri and Jon have been setting some inspiring relationship goals out to the world. Shiri got over her jitters regarding marriage, and finally, after giving birth to her baby girl, Natalie, she married her beau. Giving birth to one more child following the marriage, the family of four is now truly blessed.
