Chai was born to Thai father (Superut Romruen) and Australian mother (Sandra Hansen). He was born in a hospital in Ko Samui, Thailand. He moved to Australia only at the age of seven and stayed there to achieve higher education.

Though he was born in Thailand, he belongs to Australian nationality.

Chai wished his mother on her birthday through Instagram recently on February 5, 2017, and made her day even more special with his beautiful words.

His Short Bio:

Born on 8 February 1989, Chai Romruen is a natural sprinter and jumper who clinched the silver medal in the triple jump at the Australian National All Schools Championships in 2006. He has set a record for Triple Jump in Australia and Canada.

He acknowledged his love for dance in 2007.  And in order to pursue a career in dance, he gained the diploma in performing arts. After completing the Diploma, Chai moved to Sydney and got approval from the group director, William Sanchez, to feature in the Australia’s No.1 live street theater show “Beat The Streets”.

Chai has featured in various music video clips, commercials, TV commercials, and movies. Some of the movies, he has starred are Dead Moon Circus (2007),  Pavlomance (2013), Revolving doors( 2013) and Thicker than we (2015). He is best known for portraying merman Zac on Mako: Island of Secrets (2013- 2016). He will be seen in the movie named “We were Tomorrow" in 2017.
