English actor Tom Liam Benedict Burke, who is famous with his stage name Tom Burke was born on 30 June 1981 to parents David Burke and Anna Calder-Marshall. Born in London, Tom was raised up in Kent. As a child, Tom struggled academically as he was diagnosed with dyslexia. He even left his school before completing A-levels as he thought he would die.

By the very young age, Tom developed his interest in acting and wanted to pursue his career as an actor. To fulfill the dream becoming an actor, he attended Young Arden Theatre and National Youth Theatre. At the age of eighteen, he joined at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.

Tom Burke began his professional career in the year 1999 with Dragonheart: A New Beginning where he portrayed the character of Roland. In the same year, he appeared in an episode of series Dangerfield. Since then he has played various characters in different theater plays, movies, and television series. However, Tom is familiar for appearing in War & Peace (2016) and The Musketeers (2014–2016)

In an interview with BBC, Tom Burke has revealed how he was attracted to the show initially. Tom said-

“I think, unlike other superheroes, what one gleans about the Musketeers, certainly from the source material, is that the good that they do happens in quite a spasmodic manner, in short bursts. I identified with that - if I was ever to be someone who was involved with protecting mankind from peril, I'm not sure if I would be able to do it in a particularly strong and sustained manner.”

He added-

“I loved that about the characters in the book, they are extremely eccentric and do what they can, when they can. When I came on board there was only two episodes written so I was saying yes to what was there, but also to the whole idea of the show. It was more than just a script; there was a history and a heritage to it. The scripts Adrian has written are snappy, fast-paced and full of wit.”
