What Made Brian Boitano Reveal His Gay Sexuality? Has Any Thoughts On Getting Married Or Already Has A Husband?

A public figure's personal life is the most peeked thing by his/her fans and media. A lot of people want to know what their favorite celebs are up to in life. And while the fans of American figure skater Brian Boitano's fans were wondering the same about his personal life, he revealed the secrets of his sexuality and came out as a gay.

Boitano Came Out As A Gay But What Made Him Do That?

Coming out and accepting your sexuality is a brave thing to do and Brian Boitano falls in the list of those brave people too as he has opened up about his sexuality and told the world that he is a gay.

It was back in 2013, when Boitano was chosen for the U.S. Olympic delegation by the then President Obama. The delegation list included names of several people like openly gay athletes; Billie Jean King and Caitlin Cahow. But that was not all, Boitano then dropped a bombshell and revealed about his sexuality. Boitano who had no intentions to come out as a gay told,

"I don't feel that I can represent the country without revealing this incredible side of myself,"

. "This is an important moment, and to represent my country in Russia, it's a platform that is so important for me."

He then continued,

“When the president named the delegation, and I read in the news what his message was of tolerance and diversity, I thought, I have to take this opportunity,’’

“I think the message is so strong. I’ve always wanted to represent my country as best I could, and I knew that I had to go past my comfort zone and reveal a private side of my life that I’ve never done before because I felt that the message is so strong.”

He also expressed his desires for other countries to accept open lives of people.

"Our nation is at the forefront of trying to create a more tolerant public,"

 "The president is kind of saying to Russia that, as a strong country, we believe in this and if you don't follow along, we will leave you behind in this thought process."

Dating Anyone Or Is He A Married Man Already?

Now that everyone knows about his sexual orientation and preferences, people often wonder if the gold medalist has anyone in his life romantically or not? People are keen to know if he is married to his husband or at least has a boyfriend in his life.
