The former SI Swimsuit cover model Hannah Jeter is preparing to conceive her first baby with her Major League Baseball legend husband, Derek Jeter.
On Monday, she first announced the news about her pregnancy on the website, The Players' Tribune, and revealed the news on the blog post titled “The Derek I Know” where she talked about her husband and the future of their child. She mentioned,
"We want our kids’ lives to be as 'normal' as possible. They’re going to be born into such an extraordinary situation. They’re going to have to be some strong little people. We don’t want them to be defined by their dad’s name — for them, we want him to just be “Dad.” That will be the piece of him they’ll have that the rest of the world doesn’t. It will be special, and it will be theirs.
She also revealed that her former Yankees player husband has already picked up a name for their daughter where she said,
“He already has a name in mind — he’s set on it. (We’ll see.) He’ll say when he calls me during the day:“So, how are you and so-and-so doing?”
'“That’s not the name yet, sweetie,”
Hannah appeared in the annual 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue right after she knew that she was pregnant for the second cover appearance after appearing in 2015. This is her first appearance as a mom-to-be.
The shoot took place on the beach in Mexico where she posed in various bikinis.
Hannah and Derek first met through a mutual friend and got engaged in November 2015 which was announced on their website. They got married in July last year, 2016 in a star-studded affair in California in Meadowood Napa Valley Resort. According to Sports Illustrated, their wedding was attended by less than 100 guests which included fellow models, former teammates, and family members from both sides.
