Alan Carr is all about happiness as the 40-year-old comedian revealed yesterday on 29 September that he was now engaged to his longtime partner Paul Drayton after he popped the beautiful question to Alan while they were having their dinner in Indonesia last week as the couples were enjoying their holidays.
Alan Carr shared how shocked and overwhelmed he was when his partner from eight years Paul Drayton asked him to marry him during their meal or in the meal as the ring was hidden inside Alan’s share of dessert.
Recently, in an exclusive interview with The Sun, Alan discussed the event. The proposal took place when Alan went to the toilet and came back to have his dessert at the boutique hotel. After he started to eat his meal he appallingly said, "And then I was like, ‘’Oh my God, a filling’s come out, just my luck on holiday."

He then further explained the event,
“I pull it out and it’s this ring and then the man on the organ starts singing ‘Can you feel the love tonight?’ Then the chef, all the staff came out and the manager and sang Can You Feel the Love Tonight, but they didn’t know the next lyric, so they just sang, ‘Can you feel the love tonight? Can you feel the love tonight? So it was my idea of hell, but of course, I said yes.”

Just weeks after getting engaged, Alan has thought everything about the wedding but has decided not disclosed when and where they will get married. However, has already decided and announced that his A-list BFF Adele will be his wedding singer and will sing her hit song ‘Someone Like You’. He said,
“I don’t know exactly what we’ll do... but a big old wedding and we’ll get Adele singing Someone Like You.”
Despite the fact that his partner Paul struggles from alcoholism , Alan is all determined to support him throughout his dark days.
“I want to be there for him because he's the best thing that's happened to me and I've got to support him and everything.”
With his wedding plans, Alan also revealed his plans on not having any children and his partner also shares the same feeling. Both men do not want to be dads after they swap their vows and says that he is not one of those gay men who wish to have kids and feels horrified by the idea of how women do it and handle it all.
