Dakota Meyer, a US Marine Corps veteran, filed for divorce two weeks ago intending to end his relationship with his wife of almost two years, Bristol Palin.
Dakota Meyer got married to the daughter of Sarah Palin, a former Alaska Gov, in 2016. The couple has two young daughters together, Atlee Bay, who is nine months old, and Sailor Grace, who is two years of age. Sarah also has a son named Tripp, 9, from her previous relationship with the fiancee Levi Johnston.

Dakota Meyer is the second youngest Medal of Honor recipient alive. After working on his career and reaching a new height of success with his multiple awards, he got married to Bristol Palin in 2016.
After exchanging the vows, the couple seemed so happy that they shared that,
“Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you’ll end up where you’re supposed to be. We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married!”
However, their relationship did come with its fair share of ups and downs. The pair announced their engagement in early 2015 only to break it off a few days before the initially planned wedding in May of the same year.
According to the sources, the wedding was called off because Bristol got pregnant with their first daughter, Sailor. And the two did come around to marrying each other in 2016.
Less than two years later, the two started finding a lot of differences between them which drove Meyer to move out of their house in Austin, Texas in December last year. Subsequently, he filed for a divorce two weeks ago. According to the People,
"Meyer moved out of their home in Austin, Texas, around Christmas and filed for divorce two weeks ago. Meyer has also blocked Palin on social media."
Back in January, before he filed for the divorce, Dakota shared a picture of the family captioning it, "What matters."
Hopefully, Dakota and Bristol come to an agreement to keep being amazing parents to their kids.
No definite reason behind Meyer's move has been disclosed yet and Bristol has not made any statements regarding the matter either.
