Emotional! Karamo Brown, 37, Makes Boyfriend Cry; Engaged To Get Married

He said "Yes!"

The Queer Eye star, Karamo Brown got down on one knee and popped the question to his director-boyfriend, Ian Brown. Karamo proposed to his boyfriend at Ian's 40th surprise birthday party in West Hollywood on the night of 9 May 2018, after dating for eight years.

The TV host had planned the birthday party at sbe's HYDE Sunset in Los Angeles, where he surprised Ian with a video from their friends and family. The video was followed by an emotional proposal that brought Ian to tears. 

Karamo bent on one knee and popped the question while holding a stunning David Yurman ring. He got one black and one silver engraved bands for his fiance along with similar ones for himself.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the reality star proposed an emotional one. While getting down on one knee, he said,

'You are the funniest man I know, the kindest man, my biggest cheerleader,' 

Adding to it, he shared his love for his soon-to-be husband expressing how Ian's presence provides him with all the strength ever needed to face the world. The Houston, Texas native finally asking the question said,

'You make me feel like I can do anything. I hope that we can conquer the world together for the rest of our lives. Ian Lamont Jordan, will you marry me?"'   

In return, Ian had all tears and said "Yes" to the proposal.  

Likewise, while exclusively talking with ET, Karamo expressed his feelings after the proposal. He said,

"I just I met the love of my life and to have all of our friends and family here to celebrate... [and] to have my brothers here, you know, the fab five, it's just amazing. Like this is it," 

However, while Ian was asked about getting married, he admitted that he was "in shock" to think about planning the wedding at that moment. 

While talking with ET, the Florida A&M University alum gushed about the love of his life saying he knew Ian was someone special when Ian interacted wih his children. Karamo said,  

"The moment that he stepped in to be a stepfather to my kids, you just can't ask for someone better than that," he gushed. "I just feel so much love. I mean, this exciting time of our life for the show being a success, having my kids here, my son's mother, family, the love of my life. This is it." 

After the proposal, Karamo's son Jason shared his happiness as he made a speech after his pops slipped on their David Yurman engagement bands. Jason is the son of Karamo from his ex-high school girlfriend. He later adopted Jason's half-brother Chris. 

However, after the proposal, Karamo shared the happy news with his followers on his Instagram. He posted a picture with his fiancee showing of the ring both had on their ring fingers. The Real World: Philadelphia star captioned the picture as,

"Last night, in front of family & friends, I asked my best friend and the love of my life, “will you marry me?” He said YESSS!!!! I’m engaged! Showing off our beautiful @davidyurmanmen rings. #LoveWins"

Eventually, Ian also shared his excitement on Instagram while posting a picture of the moment when Karamo got down on one knee. Through the caption, he seemed pretty excited and looked forward to spending his life with Karamo.
