A veteran actor of Hollywood, Kevin Spacey has come out as gay in a dramatic statement after Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance towards him.
In a recent interview with Buzzfeed, which was originally published on October 30, 2017, the forty-six-years-old Rapp recalled an incident that occurred at a 1986 party at Spacey’s house, when he was fourteen-years-old, and Spacey was twenty-six. According to the interview-
“Rapp is publicly alleging for the first time that in 1986, Spacey befriended Rapp while they both performed on Broadway shows, invited Rapp over to his apartment for a party, and, at the end of the night, picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance.”
Rapp recalled the clumsy action saying-
“He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don't, like, squirm away initially, because I'm like, 'What's going on?' And then he lays down on top of me. He was trying to seduce me. I don't know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”
After the public allegation made by Rapp, who has never spoken with Spacey since the incident, Spacey took Twitter to tell his side of a story. The actor uploaded his statement on his Twitter, where he revealed that he is beyond horrified to learn of Rapp’s allegations, but said that he owes Rapp a ‘sincerest apology’ though he does not remember the encounter.
Spacey then came out as a gay in a dramatic way after he revealed that the story had encouraged him to address other things about his life.

Rapp then posted a series of tweets; although he didn’t address Spacey’s apology, he praised many courageous men and women who have been speaking out.
