The Bachelor alum, Vienna Girardi has recently flashed a tragic news through her official Facebook account on Sunday, and the news indeed relates to the loss of her to-be-born twins.
The reality personality, Vienna shared a heartbreaking news of losing her twin girls in an emotional Facebook post, where she wrote that her daughters went to heaven on 5th of August and called it the hardest thing she has ever had to write.
The 31-years-aged Vienna explained that the miscarriage of the twins occurred at the 18th week but before the miscarriage, doctors diagnosed the pregnancy with the twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
Vienna's perinatologist noticed the signs of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome on August 3. However, the condition appeared to have improved over the following week; the complication is supposed to have occurred due to identical twins.
As per the Mayo Clinic, in the case of identical twins, one baby receives too much blood, which ultimately causes lack of blood to the other, and the condition of identical twins sometimes requires aggressive intervention and early delivery.
But due to the rupture of her amniotic sacs, she couldn't save her twins. The doctors suggested delivering the babies, as they have slim chances of survival.Â
The doctors had warned me that if I did not go into labor and deliver the babies, I was taking the chance of risking my own life and causing an infection in my uterus but they could not survive at only 18 weeks. They also said that there was a very slim chance under 5% that the babies could survive and the fluids in their amniotic sacs replenish themselves so as any mother would do I did everything to save them but their hearts stopped beating on day two which is also when I went into a septic shock with 104 fever.
Following that, she spent four days in the ICU. Moreover, she donated the twins to science in the hope that it will assist the scientists to learn more about TTTS and one day they would be able to prevent it.
Vienna previously announced her pregnancy news on 8th June through Instagram with her ultrasound photo.

The representative of The Bachelor's alum told US Weekly to respect the privacy and allow her to grieve in the emotional time. The statement from the representative was:
"Vienna has a long and arguous journey to recovery, yet she is strong and knows her children are at rest in heaven. Her Heart is heavy. ... It is a difficult and emotional time. Please respect her privacy and allow her time to grieve."
