Blake Griffin Toe Injury Led Him To A Surgery; Will His Stats Be effected?
Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin, who has made Clippers Power Forward position his own, is a successful and household name in the NBA circuit. He has been someone who has made quite the name for himself with his swift moves and never say die attitude. But Blake now finds himself in the list of injured players and an injury to a player is always threatening his career and stats. Today, we take a look at his career stats and address if his surgery could hamper his stats for the injury he suffered.
Blake's Fatal Injury And His Career Stats.
On April 22, 2017, Blake Griffin was ruled out for the remainder of the 2017 NBA Playoffs after he suffered an injury to the plantar plate of his right toe. The injury occurred during the LA Clippers' 111–106 win over the Utah Jazz in Game 3 of the team's Western Conference First Round Playoff series the previous night. That injury required him to undergo surgery, and so he did go under the knife on May 1, 2017, which now leads him to the path of the comeback.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Blake is no stranger to getting injured has he has suffered several injuries in his illustrious career. An example of that was seen when he suffered a quad injury and got knocked him out of the LA Clippers' first-round playoff series the previous season. But will his injury woes cost him a decline in his stats which currently is excellent?

There is also a news developing that he can opt out of his lucrative contract this summer, thereby become a free agent if he wishes to.
Blake's Contract, Salary, And Net Worth:
Speaking of his contract, back in July 2012, he signed a five-year extension with LA Clippers worth $95 million which will take him into July 2017. Even his salary of around $19 million per year does justice to his talents and abilities. Also, his hefty salary and his efforts have led him to boast a staggering net worth of $60 million.
But his contract ends this summer, and there are rumors that he might be traded next season.
Clippers head coach Doc Rivers addressed this rumor in such words,
"We knew none of it was true. We figured that was one of you guys starting these rumors here in Boston. I was trying to find out who it was … No, it happens, unfortunately. Blake and CP are free agents [after this season]. Just like last year Oklahoma [City] had to deal with that, now it's our turn."
Let's see if this talisman nets his great dunks for some other team or stays with the Clippers.
